South side of Carter Lake
So its been some great weather here for a late winter. Been able to squeeze in a couple days of bouldering. Lucky me. Here are some shots of the a couple of classic areas around Boulder, Carter Lake, and Castle Rock up in Boulder Canyon.

Nice lowballs to warm up
Carter Lake, although shunned by many, is a gem for the moderate climber. Many classic problems in the v-easy to v-6 range. And the views are awesome.
Mike Fresh on the Little Debbie Boulder, crazy windy that day, but this boulder offered great solstice.

Old Friend Curt Frye giving this one a great run for it's money.

Kane giving Sloper Chief a burn.

Trixie enjoying late sun at the Mars Traverse.
Chris on the not so obvious finish of the Mars Traverse.

These great landings, and perfect winter exposure, make for a great day of relaxed, albeit tiring day.

From the high desert, to the foothills, a completely different setting, Castle Rock. With the newly excavated landing, the Acrobatic Hang area is a great stop on the Bo Can tour.

Matty T on the not so warm up warm ups.
Just a perfect day.

Winter has arrived, and is slowly leaving, hopefully.

Haven't posted any photos for a long time. Busy doing other things, not all that exciting. Although been bouldering a bit lately. Definitely miss the simplicity that bouldering brings to the table. Going to stick to it for a month, then go and check out Roy.

Went for a snow march up to Hillbilly Rock, couple cool formations up there. I don't ski anymore,
so I like to tromp through the hills with Sorels, get my winter activity on.
Following weekend went to my old stomping ground Castlewood Canyon. Man, that place has endless rock, and many quality problems. Talkin bout sore the next day. Just goes to show I need to add days out bouldering back into the repertoire.

Well I'll try and make this a weekly thing. Until next time. Be Cool.

On the way to Skunk Canyon
Good conditions for sloper problems.

Frozen energy bar, no problem when added to hot tea. Up near Hillbilly rock. Couple good looking boulder problem FA's to be done. Went looking for the newly retrobolted routes up there, snowy slabs kept me away.

Its been a while...

Well,
Its been a rather uneventful Spring. The Vegas trip was the highlight. Right now I'm laid up again, foot in  a cast after Surgery. My ankle is a pain in my own but. Hard to judge this time around. Hoping for the best. Cast is coming off Tuesday, then  a walking boot. Damn. Start taking some pics and lowend vid, once I get into a walking boot. Thats it for now. Hope everyone has great adventures this summer. This Fall is going to be another  building season, hopefully this surgery will allow me to boulder again. I miss keeping it simple, and a great way to get back into shape.
